3d technology
Using Autodesk Maya, I have developed a the skill to design in 3D for holographic projection, character modelling, product modelling and architectural purposes.
3d modelling
Using the specialist 3D software, Autodesk Maya, I modelled the Samsung Television. Modelling this product allowed me to experiment with using different shaders, textures and colouring giving life to the model.
I also gained experience in using different lighting to give perception and a realistic look to the model within a three dimensional space.
The model created is a replicate of the Samsung model from the main features such as the screen and button to intricate detailing such as grooves and sockets.
The project took approxiamately five weeks to complete from planning to rendering. Photographs of the original model were taken scaled down and modelled digitally.

Alongside modelling products, I advanced in using the software and developed the ability to create characters. The modelling of the character allowed me to develop my knowledge of body structure and using skeleton rigging to create a more realistic looking character.
Using Autodesk Mental-Ray I was able to generate realistic looking fur, eyes and clothing to add to the personality of the character and visual perception.

One of the projects which I have worked on involved combinging 3D elements with holographic projection. This involved creating the illusion of 3D using reflection.
The video on the left is layed out for holographic projection, however, shows the model of a house.
I designed the house for architectural and design purposes with the design and furnishings of the room created using 3D software.
