BROADCAST

Over the course of three years my experience and knowledge within the television and broadcast industry has expanded vastly. I have developed not only theoretical knowledge but also practical knowledge in outside broadcast, live broadcast, VT, lighting, graphics operator, presenting, camera operation and floor managing.

quizical

Working as part of a team, I helped create a quiz show called Quizical. The game show was part of the BBC Academy TV Production training course. Being apart of the BBC Academy allowed me to gain valuable experience in working in a professional tv environment, from directing and producing to camera work.

My role within the TV quiz show team was graphics operator in which I created the graphics for the show such as the logo, team name icons, credits and astons.

Aswell as creating the graphics for the show I also took on the role of Graphics Operator which involved working in the gallery and cueing graphics in time with the director, vision mixer and prompt operator. The show was recorded in a live tv studio environment allowing me to experience the challenges and advantages live television broadcast can have.

street dealz

Working as part of a team, I helped create the graphics for a shopping channel called Street Dealz. The shopping channel was produced as part of the course structure and was filmed in a live broadcast environment.

My role within the team was credits producer and lighting designer. Street Dealz is a shopping channel aimed at young people aged between 18 and 30 years old. Therefore, there were many factors to consider when designing the credits and the lighting.

The graphics depicted that off a graffitti sign spelling out the shows name and used bright colours with an urban background and were designed by co operating with the set designers and director.
